Dania's Diary Entry:
Cyrrollalle's Blessing, the final spring harvest, began a couple of nights ago. I fulfilled two of my accounts, the Dragon's Ward and the dwarven establishment, the Old Warrior, with bottles of Green Fairy. I convinced my friend, Flynt Gorunn, to go to the Traveler's Goblet with me so that we could enjoy the enchanting melodies of his secret crush, Tinkles O'Leary. What a pretty lass she is! She wears bells in her hair and her perfomance on the mandolin is quite mesmerizing.
I was a bit unnerved seeing some Kostromo barbarians imbibing at a table nearby. But I took a few swigs of the Green Fairy and turned my attention to the tavern keeper. I worked out a deal with Eldin -- basically 6 months of free room and board in exchange for bottles of my fine absinthe! Some time passed and Callie Underbough showed up with a couple other halflings in tow -- one, Rhyessa Astrid, was a bit offstandish and called wolves her family. The other, Griff, was an interesting looking fellow -- a bit younger and sported a topknot. Never saw anyone like him.

Turns out that Griff and Tinkles are cousins! Whoa. Griff and Tinkles invited us to dinner at the O'Leary's house and I urged Flynt to take up the offer. I have always admired Mrs. O'Leary's cooking and hoped to observe some of her methods. What a fun night that was.
The next day, I set out to pick some blueberries and found the finest ones ever in a field east of Wickshire. Amid the forest floor, I noticed a barren bush, devoid of shrubbery and fruit. I approached it and it attacked me! I yelped out and tried to persuade it not to hurt me. Rhyessa was nearby with her pack and came to my rescue. I didn't want her to hurt the bush but ultimately, Rhyessa destroyed it to save my life. We headed back to town and told the sherriff about what happened. He urged us to go to Woodshire and find out if anyone knew of the "twig blight."
Flynt and I set out with our new friends to Woodshire via Old Swamp Road. Poor Flynt -- he had to sneak out though. I wish he didn't have such strict parents! I was excited to head home and connect with my mom and grammy back in Woodshire.
We traveled for a while and decided to camp off the side of the road, just south of the old ruins. I was a bit nervous because Callie and Griff found drag marks coming off the road. I was spooked. Those two were insistent on investigating. They led the way and we discovered a group of twig blight and three halfling bodies. The party disarmed and destroyed the twig blight. One of the bodies seemed to be a man of importance, while the other two were guards. We buried them in a shallow grave.
After resting for the night, I relunctantly followed the party to the ruins. We approached the keep and Kostromo barbarians warned us to go away. Yikes! They are so mean. What are they doing there? I wanted to high tail it out of there. I'm so glad we decided to back off.
